Coloured Caulks

Selleys range of caulks and sealants come in a variety of colours, including neutrals and ones that dry clear! The fantastic range of colours on offer allows you to find a perfect match for the other materials you are working with. You can also find caulk products that can be painted to colour-match your space. A clear or neutral white sealant is perfect for whatever application you require.

Drying Time

Caulks and sealants typically can be dry to touch within half an hour, but require time to cure and set to ensure they are fully waterproof. Fast-drying products can set in less than 24 hours, depending on the humidity of your space. A significant advantage of using a fast-drying caulk is the ability to paint the seal earlier, decreasing the time spent on installation. Each product we offer has different drying and curing times, we highly recommend reading the labels for exact times.ete, timber, sidings and gutters.

Silicone caulk

Silicone is incredibly durable and flexible and also can be a water repellant, making it the best choice for windows and bathrooms. Silicone caulks can withstand temperature changes with direct sunlight or water (e.g. rain) and are often used to seal gaps between two different materials.

Latex caulk

Latex caulk is a great choice for usage on drywall, timber or another masonry. Latex caulks are easy to use, apply and clean up. Latex caulks are not as durable as silicone, as durability may be affected by moisture. A benefit of using latex caulk is that it can be sanded once cured.

Expandable caulkĀ

Just as the name implies, this type of caulk expands when sprayed onto the material. It is often referred to as Expanding Foam. This type of sealant is great for larger cracks and gaps. The sealing properties of this type of caulk can also be used to assist in soundproofing a room.

Outdoor caulk

Butyl-rubber caulk is the type of sealant perfect for outdoor use. It has been designed to withstand high temperatures and be water-tight. Butyl-rubber sealants work well with most materials found outdoors, such as aluminium, metal, concrete, timber, sidings and gutters.
