If you are trying to bond the splash back to bare, timber, plaster, concrete, or brick walls, all these surfaces should be primed with a paint before bonding so as not to cause damage to the back of the mirror or splashback.
If the surfaces have been freshly painted, allow at least 3 weeks before applying adhesive to ensure there are no solvents or other products that may react with the adhesive.
Clean the surfaces to be bonded using Sugar Soap Wipes to remove any grease dirt or grime. Ensure the surface is given plenty of time to dry before sticking anything to the wall.
Apply the Selleys Liquid Nails Mirror, Metal and Glass adhesive allowing an edge of at least 5 cm all the way around. Apply 5mm diameter parallel beads of adhesive at 8cm intervals. Apply 3-4 strips of mounting tape in between the adhesive to hold the splash back in place while the glue dries.
Firmly push the splash back on to the wall so that the mounting tape bonds and holds in place (sometimes a slightly padded mounting tape may be required).
