In this episode, watch as Adam transforms a disused, broken-down kennel into a charming Pooch Palace. Using Selleys products, a little bit of vinyl and paint, this kennel destined for landfill is given a new lease of life.
In this episode, Adam guides you through repairing a mid-century chair. Watch how easy it can be to transform a tired chair into a modern-looking, comfy and safe masterpiece.
In this episode, discover how easy and fun it is to zhoosh up a plain mirror with a little bit of know-how and some artistic flair.
In this episode, Adam shows you how to restore an old coffee table into a modern centrepiece by patching up small dents and chips, and attaching a decorative modern vinyl that will withstand water and heat.
In this episode, Adam revamps a lifeless bedside table and shares with you how to properly clean and sand, attach new handles and ensure the drawers complement your bedroom interior.
Having an outdated piece of furniture doesn’t mean you can’t give it a new lease of life. Here, Adam shows you how to clean up a tallboy effectively, update the handles, make sure the interior of the drawers is functional, and cover it with a stylish paper.
You can find items to upcycle in your own home, at charity stores like Vinnies or Salvos, on online marketplaces, and even council hard rubbish collections*.
If you need more inspiration, we created a hub with a few suggestions to help you find preloved items that were destined for landfill — in local areas near you.
*Before you pick up hard rubbish off the street, be sure to double check each council's rules and regulations, as each one has a different approach.
Many local councils have transfer stations or resource recycling centres where you can find preloved goods that have been saved from landfill — and are being sold at really great prices.
There are also many fantastic community and independent upcycling organisations, with many holding workshops and community days to help guide your next upcycling project — and the best part is these centres often support and give back to their local communities, you can do good and feel good sourcing your next upcycling project.
